Actually it’s not a question, but an answer
I recently had problems with launching Visual Studio 2013 from the Editor.
Make sure if your VS is configured to be run as administrator, and if so, do the following:
- Find the “UnrealEngineLauncher.exe” from here: {Installation Root}\Launcher\Engine\Binaries\Win64
- Right click it and choose the “Troubleshoot compatibility”
- Click “Troubleshoot program” option
- Check the “The program requres additional permissions” checkbox
- Click “Next”
- Click “Test the program…” and wait until the launcher is fully loaded
- Click “Next” and then “Close”
This simple guide is for Windows 8+, and actually from now, the Epic Games Launcher and Editor will be always started as Administrator.
P.S.
This trick works for every program Enjoy!
