Hi ,

It sounds like this might be due to the different collapse settings you might be using on import. When you select the Collapse all, or collapse by material setting, it turns all objects or all objects with the same material into a single object, compared to Keep Hierarchy which respects the same object hierarchy for the model as in SketchUp.
