If i create a game and i put on steam do Unreal Engine take 10 % of money? If they would, how? With which card?
I think , and dont quote me on that please (!) … if you sell the game on steam … you have to pay royalty to them, i think thats what you accepted after you accepted the terms of service (etc)
btw. why should you not give them 5 or 10% ? i mean they gave you the engine for free … + tutorials and so on … would be just fair
They don’t just take money off of your credit card automatically. You are responsible for submitting a revenue report each quarter that you made more than $3000 for your game.
"Once this information [your quarterly
revenue report] is received and
processed, Epic will provide payment
instructions. "
I’m sure it is completely up to you what bank account the money comes out of.
The royalty is 5%, not 10%.
See the Unreal Engine 4 Commercial Game Deployment Guidelines for all the details.
You will also lose a portion of the game sales to steam, if it gets greenlit. They both shouldn’t be an issue however, they both provide you hundreds of man-hours worth of work for a small fee.
