Hardware design is a fundamental for programming. Since Verse is trying to define a new foundation for computing, it might be worthwhile to support hardware definition and FPGA programming as a replacement for Verilog, VHDL and other emerging languages like Chisel.
This is something that might need to be considered but the implementation can be pushed back until:
- Language stabilises
- System programming dialect / subset of the language
Verse being the only Functional Logic language that has a chance to make it as a main stream language, it would be imperative to support programming beyond gamming.
