The International Age Rating Coalition (IARC) content rating questionnaire is now available in the Creator Portal, and we strongly recommend you complete it for all of your published islands as soon as possible. Failure to do so could interrupt access to your islands when age and consent ratings launch in Fortnite on November 14.
When you are ready to publish your island to Fortnite, you’ll complete the IARC content-rating questionnaire before submitting your island to moderation.
Please check the blog along with the following links to learn more about the rating process.
Does Fortnite fall into the category of “childlike” in visuals and “fantasy” in regards to violence? The characters and art style are not as realistic as, say, call of duty. For the ratings, I want to be sure.
My two cents here, I put no. Consider A | B testing against other game titles. It is most certainly less child-like then Mario Party for example but more so then Call Of Duty.
Hello, I’ve had two of my games get hidden and unlisted. It’s as if they were entirely removed from being available to play as a result of me not fully understanding exactly which of the answers to the questionnaire I was supposed to select. I followed all of the instructions and guidance about the answers in the documentation about single vs. multiplayer islands and about user interactions. All I get by email basically says inaccurate questionnaire responses based on “the content within my island”. Help please! For other creators, I’d recommend waiting a couple days, maybe even weeks, before doing your IARC update because additional information about these questionnaires and answers is needed in my opinion. Having games completely taken down because 1 out of 30 questions is inadvertently perceived as incorrect makes it tough! This happened on 2 of my 8 maps and of the others, 4 passed and 2 are still in review.
The ‘What has changed’ section explains the info entered is ‘not player-facing’. What exactly does it mean by that? Is it like power ups or something?
Also, this rule:
Blockquote 1.18 Island Content Disclosures - When submitting your IARC Age Rating Questionnaire, you are required to accurately disclose relevant content within your Island in order to receive age appropriate ratings. Inaccurate questionnaire responses may result in your content being rejected, and repeated violations risks further action, including potentially having your monetization and publishing privileges suspended or permanently revoked.
It says I need to ‘disclose relevant content’ but again, what exactly is ‘relevant content’?
