I would like a comment from Epic developers (or any user), if possible, quantifying the expected benchmark visual quality for the VR experience using Twinmotion.

I am using Archicad 25, Direct LInk to Twinmotion 2022.1 and viewing the VR with an Oculus Quest 2 Link.

The Twinmotion experience is incredible. Navigating the model on the desktop is surpassing my expectations. Truly a beauty.

The VR experience however has been very disappointing. A quality drop from the desktop to the VR headset is understandable, but the quality I'm experiencing is not usable for a client or even as an enjoyable tool for development.

There appears be a few issues that I'm experiencing but the most pronounced is what I believe is called Aliasing. The edges of objects look like long escalators.

I have tried adjusting settings on the Oculus as well as in Twinmotion, but nothing improves the quality.

I purpose built my PC to meet and exceed the Twinmotion VR use case requirements so I'm surprised that the computer specs would need to be improved. But while monitoring GPU usage I can see that I'm instantly at 100% use.

The next area to inspect would be the Oculus Quest 2, but the built in Virtual Environments would meet my expectations for client deliverables. I am willing to go through any process required to optimize the VR experience, unfortunately this side of the PC exceeds my skill set.

Please Advise.

Hello ,

Thank you for posting in the community and sorry to hear about the issue you are having with the VR quality. I too have an Oculus Quest 2 and have not had the same experience so there must be something going on in the scene or the computer/oculus settings.

Please check the GPU drivers and Oculus Drivers/firmware are up to date and make sure you have your computer connected to a power source if it is a laptop. Try using the Oculus Link wire and not the Air link to see if the performance is better.

Here is a good video showing how to get familiar with setting up a good VR experience.

I recommend you contact us directly if you are still having issues so we can investigate this further:
