I was wondering if there is a way to link a light in TM (Omnidirectional/spotlight) to an imported SketchUp asset (table lamp)? I’d like to be able to move the lamp around in SU and have the light stay with it in TM when refreshed. Is this possible? THX

so one way of achieving (almost) what you want is to place the light under the lamp's hierarchy in TM. This way, when you move the lamp in TM, the light will also move. so basically your imported geometry becomes a 'folder'. you can see how to do this here: https://capture.dropbox.com/5xYwTflfCeEerGMm

Unfortunately, it doesn't work with imported geometry that is being updated. you can link the light into a geometry you've imported and it will work if you move it in TM. But as soon as you update the link, the hierarchy will reset and your light that was linked will be deleted.

I would suggest you to import the lamp seperately from your main model. that way, you can move it around in TM without having to change your main model in SU.

Thank you, Emre. I really appreciate the response and the video!
