Hi all, looking to get some insight… So basically I have two data sets, one non and one cross-polarized. My goal is to extract the roughness map. So my thoughts are I want to align two separate components (not merge them.) Seems like a straightforward enough thing to solve however I’m not having any luck figuring it out. Is this possible? I’m wondering if someone has done this or would have any insight as to how this could be done all within in RealityScan. Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!
Hi @clayton.95 , in this case by aligning you mean they will be in the same coordinate system with the same position, location and scale but still remain in two seperate projects?
If yes, do you need to align the RS projects or will it be enough just to align the exported meshes?
Both are possible. Between RS projects, you can use control points turned into ground control points. To me, it sounds like aligning the output meshes would be enough, and for that, you can use Meshlab or CloudCompare.
Let me know which option you are trying ot achieve and I can give you exact steps.
