I need some help with the dev kit.

I need some help, I tried using the method shown in the video above for a creature that had a similar body plan to the ptera and was a flying animal, I painted all the skin weights correctly, exported it like in the video but when I put it in the dev kit and use an animation from the ptera it looks like a crumpled up ball of mesh. Any and all support on fixing this is appreciated.

did you export the skeleton of the ptera into your modelling program and paint with those?
