I need help guys please ! Exporting character animation, needs to hold toolbox and wear hardhat

Hey Guys

So ive been busy with 3ds max for a few years and recently started with unreal engine.
I’ve got my character, and then in this specific scene he has to carry the toolbox, and wear the Hardhat. I’ve parented the toolbox the the palm bone(using catrig in 3ds max) and the hardhat to the head-bone in all my scenes. I’ve seen a few topics about slots in Unreal engine, will that be sufficient for me?

In another scene i need him to put down the toolbox, and get a drill from it, the drill bit breaks so he takes out a hammer and chisel from the toolbox.In 3ds max its very easy with link contraints.

I dont know if i should export those parented objects with the bones, or should i export only my main animations and add the objects in there using slots?

Im making a animation video, not a game, im trying out the engine’s real-time render which is just amazing.I just need to figure this out.
