This is a realistic style CG project based on the Unreal Engine that transplants the science fiction setting of the ‘Alien’ series into the Song Dynasty in China. The script is entirely original and the plot is purely fictional, centered around the three years when the famous Northern Song Dynasty statesman Bao Zheng served in Zhaoqing’s Duanzhou. It attempts to tell some anecdotes and folk legends from a science fiction perspective.
This work is not intended for commercial use and was crafted by a small team during our spare time, taking over seven months to complete. It is meant for sharing and learning among enthusiasts. The fonts, music, sound effects, and some 3D model assets used in the film are not original but were sourced from paid or free resources available on the internet.
Creating this piece was no small feat, and we genuinely hope that you can offer us more encouragement with an open and supportive mindset, helping us go even further. Thank you!
Incredible, incredible, incredible! " Alien in Song Dynasty" was a beautifully made, captivating cinematic thriller, and I enjoyed every second of it! You and your team (is your studio called Genie Eye?) did a fantastic job with this short film in all aspects imaginable. Every detail was impeccable, and my sole critique is that it concluded on a cliffhanger, leaving me in suspense.
It’s so generous of you! Your comments encourage us to carry on!
Yes, our team is called “Genie eye”,please follow us on Youtube and give us some suggestions.
This is only the beginning of the story, our plan is to make a whole series of it, and we’re working really hard on the 2nd!
Thanks again for the comment! Really helps!
The pleasure is all mine! I have promptly subbed to your studio’s channel and will be sure to leave a comment/suggestion whenever I can.
I do hope that you will continue to share your lovely creations within the forums. I’m very excited to hear you’re already making a second part of this series. I look forward to seeing how the cinematics and story evolve! Best of luck to you and your team.
