Hey! Im the creator of UEBot a bot to manage discord roles and verification for assets sold on the unreal engine marketplace.
The service is a three part realtime system; The bot, an API, and a dashboard.
As a marketplace seller you are empowered to list the products you sell and verify ownership via Reviews, Questions, or both. The bot gives an easy to access system in your discord to request verification via a users discord username.
The bots currently in use by a few of the larger sellers on the marketplace, including Developer Galidar (of Oceanology) and Eric (Of Hyper)
My service offers insight into the number of verifications both successful and unsuccessful.
You can add multiple roles or multiple channels to a new role from the dashboard.
The dashboard also gives you insight into the number of users joining/leaving your discord.
If this is something that interests you, please stop by and checkout the progress. I have a number of features on the roadmap to help discord owners manage the support lifecycle for the products they sell on the marketplace.
This is great, maybe now Epic can finally start enforcing it’s own rules, specifically the one that states that using reviews to get Discord access is not allowed.
Yes, thank you! My goal is to make the support lifecycle for marketplace sellers as easy as possible. I welcome any and all ideas for improving the way Sellers interact with their customers.
I agree, I do give access to sellers to allow users to verify against reviews they post; it might be worthwhile to display a popup telling sellers that using reviews as a way to verify is against TOS unless that review is an honest review of the asset and happens to contain the discord users username.
It’s sad that Epic doesn’t seem to care about their own TOS very much and it needs a plugin developer like you to fix this problem, even though Epic acknowledged the problem exists already back in February this year and promised to do something about it … they didn’t.
I will suggest your plugin to a friend who is a marketplace seller, seems like it can be very useful for him.
Epic has a lot going on. I do agree it tends to sting when rules arent upheld. Hopefully this tool is something that begins the process of formal verification for users. I welcome suggestions if you have any others.
I appreciate the extension of trust! Your friend is also welcome to DM me directly should he have any questions, or use the Support discord linked. I believe transparency in the bot, its use and its future is a requirement for the success of the service I am offering.

Sure but they are also swimming in cash, so it wouldn’t be too hard to hire a few more people to quality control the marketplace and handle problems.
And maybe some UX designers to rework the awful launcher while they are at it.
