Greetings, @Fansi_Inkongnito; I hope you’re having a fantastic Monday!
Thank you for sharing the first of many open-source projects/games you’ll be developing and sharing with us in the forums! Your bird simulator looks lovely and seems rather relaxing to play. How much time did you spend creating this game?
Hello there @Zezkaii!
Thank you! Hope you are having a nice day too.
I already did two more actually, they are in my post history.
To answer your question, I always give myself a week as deadline, but I didn’t track how many hours I spent. My rather broad guess would be somewhere between 10 - 15 hours.
Good to note is that I didn’t made any of the art assets, links to them are in the Github readme file.
Thank you for clarifying and sending good wishes! Spending 10-15 hours per project to develop a game within a week is a substantial amount of time, and based on the other two games you shared, it is certainly paying off. Can you give us any insight on what you might tackle next week? Never mind, I do enjoy a good surprise!
Hi there @Fansi_Inkongnito,
Hope you’re well and having a spectacular week so far!
This project is absolutely stunning. The water is otherworldly gorgeous, the environment is full of fantastical and breathtaking nature, and the bird itself is colorful and just looks really high quality and animated super well. The controls for the bird look very similar to Ark so immediately I wanted to fly around as this little bird through dinosaur infested islands.
Thanks for sharing and congrats on your weekly project being completed! Can’t wait to see next weeks work Any hints on what it might be?
Hey @Fansi_Inkongnito !
This is an absolutely stunning showcase and I love the perspective so much. It’s always unique to see the world from another view much less explore. It reminds me very fondly of the bird POV camera videos. This looks like something I could play either all day or watch all day for sure!
@Zezkaii @PresumptivePanda I usually don’t know what I will end with on the end of the week so no hints I am afraid.
@The_M0ss_Man 100% Stray really showed how interesting it can be to play from non-human perspectives!
Glad you like it guys!
No problem at all! I’ll stay tuned for your upcoming project and hope you’re having a terrific Monday!
