I LOVE THIS IDEA... but need some help

In short, I am trying to create a run-down interior setting for a horror game. It’s all about the aesthetics! During my search for good tutorials to follow I cam across this one which looks EXACTLY as what I am looking for. However, it’s in Spanish and I don’t speak the language. If need be I’ll create a transcript of this video and try to get it translated (yay bablefish!) but before I go through all of that, does anyone know or can point me in the direction of a similar tutorial in English?

Thanks in advance.

My Spanish isn’t great, but a bunch of the tricks he used in the video are covered in this vid:

This is not tutorial, but layered material, and one of blending functions is vertex color:

Did it for some indie project, and recently i decided to share my testing project for that material system.

Ps. don’t mind description style, it was made by AI.

Thanks for the input. It’s been extremely helpful

However, I am having a strange issue that I can’t seem to figure out. Although I can layer textures, which is great, they are HUGE… I can’t seem to seem to be able to scale them down.

Any idea on what I have missed?

Thanks in advance!

Texture coordinate node and multiply UV Red & Green channels by some number.

In my project there are parameters to scale uvs.
