I keep getting Failed to load map! Umap appears to be an asset file

I have source control enabled and i went to my repository on git hub and downloaded the project files when i try to open it im met with this error Failed to load map! Umap appears to be an asset file i click ok and as expected when i load in its a black screen in the viewport when i navigate to where my maps are saved there is nothing there but if i open file explorer the map exists there but will not show up in the engine maybe because i have configured git lfs wrong i would really appreciate some help

If you are using LFS you need to clone the repository, with a git client that has LFS support enabled. Downloading from github page won’t work.

So if i have the GitHub desktop app with ifs im not sure how but i have to clone the repository if you have any links or videos on how to do this please send it thanks for replying tho
