Hello, I just started Unreal Engine. Actually, I’m more curious about Unreal Engine’s market.
The questions I want to ask are:
How simple assets are accepted in Unreal Engine’s asset market, for example “Vampiress - 3D model by st4lwart [4aca423] - Sketchfab”
“Classic Muscle Car - 3D model by st4lwart [121e1a3] - Sketchfab”
Much more advanced 3D assets are available on the UE marketplace, but I personally am not capable of creating such projects quickly, so it would take me a long time to do them.
So are these models I linked acceptable in the asset market? Or is it too simple? I send the “treasure chest model” to the Unity asset store, they accept it, but when I send a truck model with a 50 times verticle difference between them, they reject it after 2 months, saying “this is too simple”. I don’t want to talk too much about Unity, but I can’t think of any other analogy to asset marketing. So I really want something to work, I mentioned this because you know time is very precious, I really don’t want the same to happen on other platforms.
And do scripts have any value in the market? Do templates of racing, FPS or platform game systems have any value? Assets such as “npc asset using chatgpt” are very popular in unity asset store. Are 3D products or game system scripts valuable in the UE Market place?
Actually, I mostly deal with things that involve programming. Before, I was constantly making scripts that controlled characters, objects and UI interfaces, and they were quite advanced structures. The character scripts I produced in Unity could do everything that the characters in the popular games we played. But these were of no value in asset store, Maybe I didn’t advertise it well, pure scripts are not accepted, I guess there had to be a model or something, I don’t know. Anyway, then I learned software such as blender and Photoshop and started making 3D models. Things didn’t go quite as I expected here either… To be frank, is this the case with UE Marketplace?
Thanks…
