I invested $497 in an Epic-Authorized Unreal Engine masterclass but my computer isn't powerful enough to actually run the software.

Hello Unreal Engine Community,

My name is Savion Gallegos, and I am an independent creator launching SAVAEON Studios out of the Bay Area. My long-term mission is to leverage real-time 3D pipelines to create immersive, spatial software focused on community literacy and interactive education.

To give myself a rock-solid structural foundation in the engine, I recently invested $497 out of pocket to enroll in the comprehensive Unreal Masterclass curriculum. I chose this specific program because the creator is an Epic Games Authorized Instructor, ensuring that my developmental foundations align directly with Epic’s official, certified standards.

The Current Roadblock:
While my training schedule and dedication are entirely locked in, my physical development machine has become an immediate bottleneck. My current home setup lacks the dedicated GPU processing power, VRAM, and multi-threaded CPU memory required to compile engine shaders, handle heavy geometry, or bake lighting environments without causing severe system crashes. I have invested heavily in my learning materials, but I am physically restricted by my local hardware limitations.

Why I am sharing my story here:
I am incredibly eager to transition from theoretical learning to active, physical project execution inside Unreal Engine 5. I wanted to reach out to this amazing community and the Epic DevRel team to learn more about how other solo indie creators navigate early hardware equity barriers:

* Are there specific cloud-computing or virtual workstation pipelines recommended for developers running on low-spec client rigs?
* Does Epic offer or sponsor localized hardware assistance programs, hardware-equity initiatives, or developer equipment resources for solo studios displaying clear financial and educational skin in the game?

I have the curriculum, the verified blueprint, and the hustle ready to deploy—I am just looking for the right computing power to unlock it. I’m incredibly proud to join this community and look forward to building the future of SAVAEON Studios on Unreal!

*(Note: I’ve attached my masterclass tuition invoice below as proof of my personal commitment to mastering this engine.)*

Best regards,
Savion Gallegos
