I have never appeared in new and updated

I have made several maps, only one has ever made it into discovery and it was the First Person category. It was there a couple times with my map having a 60% gameplay over 10 minutes, etc. But since then my impressions have gone to 30 a day for seemingly no reason.

Furthermore none of my maps have ever made it in New and Updated. While some maps seem to get in there the same day are released.

The map that was in the First Person category has been updated probably a dozen times since and have yet to appear in a New and Updated category.

This isn’t meant to be a woe is me thing but I think a suggestion that discovery isn’t quite showing and rotating maps as often or how it should be.

I understand there are probably thousands of islands being released a day and only 50 spots for new and updated but a map that has been out for months never appearing there while being updated is something to point out.

I also don’t love the incentive for creators to feel the need they need to be constantly updating their maps, while I get the idea of why it could be good I think it leads to creators just spamming maps on different accounts and making a ton of minor changes just to to hope for a chance to appear in that tab.

all new and updated is just spammed and clogged on a weekly basis, some are just permanently clogged, all the collections are clogged

they only seem to care about the top tier tabs

all they need to do is limit these accounts spammers but it seems their eyes are on brainrot so naturally they too

first person should have been a category with multiple tabs, one being for horror so it doesn’t just get completely infected with horror, this has been an issue since ballistic and first person came out.. so badly managed almost as if they wanted it to fail.

this tab also never cycled in new maps, the 2 sort of classic shooters that aren’t horrors here are sort of stuck cycling in while nothing new seems to join other than straight up horrors. just another example of how bad this algorithm is, its very very simple.
