I cant see any way to change the design of this forum. Super high contrast makes me feel nausous after a few minutes, and makes it unnecessarily challenging to find the information I’m looking for. I want to tone it down, I thought we got past this “basement dweller hacker ■■■■” in the 90’s and now its back with a vengeance everywhere. And yes, I have gone through all my apps and customized the UI’s where possible. I liked UE4 better and prefer something neutral like old Cinema4D before they screwed that up too with the latest fad.
I don’t find this very inclusive to be honest, to use a modern cliche. Perhaps that is the reason for this design?
Hey there @MarcusRivers! I couldn’t seem to find a method to change the theme of the forums directly in the profile settings, so I’m going to look a bit into it.
To get your feedback to the correct team, I’d recommend opening a feedback ticket directly for the forums itself! To do that, head over to the left side and open the community home, and then look for this image on the right hand side:
This is for bugs with the site layout (or feedback!).
Implementing a color override profile in the form of a second css file (containing only overridden colors) should be enough to get it done. You would just need to add a client side cookie to save which skin is picked (default or custom) and a basic picker / dropdown somewhere on the site to choose it.
