Before 5.1 released I created a pull request to the Unreal Engine GitHub repo. The PR got accepted and merged and when 5.1 released my name was listed among the “Contributors” in the release notes.
It’s been like this up until 5.2 released. Today I noticed that my name is now gone from the “Contributors” list in the 5.1 release notes (but my change is still there in the changelog and my code is still in the 5.2 release and in the GitHub repo’s source code).
I can’t 100% confirm this but it feels like the list has been shortened a bit, so it might not be just my name that got removed. I definitely feel like it was longer before. I also noticed that only people who didn’t use their actual name as their GitHub username stayed on the list (I used my real name), while the others who used their real name were seemingly removed (if my memory isn’t failing me). Is this some sort of GDPR issue?
This is the first time I have ever contributed to the Unreal Engine source code, so maybe this is just part of the process? Why though? Is this intentional or unintentional?
How do I get my name (or GitHub username) back on the list?
Thanks!
