I get an error message and can’t install Unreal Editor for Fortnite.
Please let me know how to fix it.

Hello there @Yoshiyuki_101!

This error has popped up a few times around the community, the most effective solution so far has been to perform a clear cache for UE:

  • Go to your UE directory, and delete the following folders, to reset all launcher data:

    • C:\ProgramData\Epic
    • C:\Users\<YourUser>\AppData\Local\EpicGamesLauncher
    • C:\Users\<YourUser>\AppData\Local\UnrealEngine
    • C:\Users\<YourUser>\AppData\Roaming\Epic

  • After this, if the issue persists, you can also try to run the launcher with admin rights, while temporary disabling your antivirus, and UAC, then attempt to install UEFN again.

  • You can also check for any logs at AppData\Local\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved\Logs, there may be more details regarding your error message there.
