Thank you for the follow-up and glad to hear the hotfix addressed the crashing issues. Typically Direct Link uses networking ports to communicate and its possible when you are offline there is something preventing the communication. Please check your firewall and any network security that could be blocking it. If the problem is still happening we may be able to help if you submit a bug here:
