Well I can’t even delete my account
Deleting is, in general, not a great thing on a public forum.
What ends up happening if “delete” is normal, is that someone will ask a question, then they will get an answer, then they will delete the post because THEY got the answer they wanted.
But this deprives the rest of the internet the benefit of seeing that same question and answer in search results in the future, so that’s a very self-centered thing to do, and totally undermines the reason we answer questions on forums in the first place – to create longer-term reference value.
Similarly, someone may ask a question, and then figure it out (this happens to me once in a while, for sure!) The instinct might be to delete the question, but, because others may also have the same question, and because I called upon the forum to answer, the right thing to do, is to answer my own question – something like “it turns out I had confused Chartreuse with Teal, and once I used the right color to search in the index, I found the answer in the function UGameplayLiquids::Imbibe()
.”
Sure, if I blow my top and call someone a “f*cking sstrd,” then I probably will want to come back and improve that statement, so editing it and calling them “someone who is mistaken,” is a reasonable feature to have. Some people abuse “edit” to delete the entire text they posted, which ends up with the same problem as the original “delete” – you try to use the value of a forum, answered by a community, but you remove the contribution your question would have made.

What was it that you were trying to remove? I may be of assistance if you still need help.
