I’m not sure which part of your code “says it needs to be yellow”. Could you send a screenshot of your blueprint?
If you are trying to add a vector (yellow pin on blueprint nodes) to a float (green pin) you can right click on the yellow pint and then clock on “Split Struct Pin”. This will split the pin into three float pins, and you will be able to choose which axis (X, Y, Z) you want to add. This works for Rotation Pins (purple pins) as well.
