Just wait few minutes and try again. I have same problem on my laptop, and after 2-5 minutes download starts normally.

I faced the same issue. I logged off and logged on again. After a few initial sputters it started working well. I think you need to wait a few minutes max half and hour. And also, check your internet connection. If it still does not work then you can post your logs here.

Hi what is working so far after code 0, I right clicked the epic launcher icon and brought up properties, then made my administrator account able to read/write etc after that it started downloading. If it doesnt complete will let you know but using the properties permissions works so far.

Make Sure all other applications are closed, including Nvidia updates or other applications.

Works after 2-3 mins

it also can be the lack of visual c++ redistributable correct version , for example for version 4.11 you need this one Download Visual Studio Tools - Install Free for Windows, Mac, Linux

Hi guys. I downloaded it up to about 40 percent, but now I have the same problem. I reside in Iran. To bypass restrictions I used several VPNs or proxies that I know can do the job on similar sites. Waiting for an hour or even more doesn’t solve my problem. Do you mean waiting after pressing the ok button of the alert? Also setting permissions on the app file or sudo opening it doesn’t do the job either. What could be the problem? Thanks
