Can someone explain to me what the problem is because I really need Unreal Engine.
This scenario has popped up around the community a few times, it should be resolved with the following steps:
First of all, make sure no Epic software elements are left in your system, checking “program files” and “program(x86)” folders
You can also open the registry directory HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Epic Games\Unreal Engine\Builds, and delete any build entries, if present
Also, delete the folders %userprofile%\AppData\Local\UnrealEngine and %userprofile%\AppData\Local\UnrealHeaderTool (in case they were created)
Now that we know there are no traces left, go to Task manager > Execute a new task(If you’re on windows 10 click on top left “File” then “Run new task”)> type : msiexec.exe and also check the box “create a new task with administrator privileges” > browse > go where your Epic Games setup is located, and open it (if it doesn’t appear, select the option tied to “every file type” in the dropdown menu (a visual guide for this step can be found here).
If the issue persists, you can try adding Epic Games from the Microsoft Store.
