i am on 4.81 and no matter what i do i cant disable root motion in the animation. I turned it off in the animation sequence, I also set the anim bp to ignore root motion but the root motion is still applied. Any thoughts?
It sounds like the character still has animation on the root, even though all Root Motion settings are set to ‘off’. Is this the case?
If so, you have a couple options.
- You can go back into Max/Maya/Blender and actually delete the animation off of the root itself
- Set the animation sequence to enable root motion, but make sure Root Motion is disabled in the AnimBP (I’m not positive this will work, but it’s a workaround from changing the content itself)
You can also check Force Root Lock on the animation.
