How big is it? Maybe cut it for level streaming, but not sure if ai will follow the player from level to level without more work.
Hello dude. Have you tried to use a Lightmass Importance Volume? It reduces a lot the building time. Also try to reduce a bit the lightmapp resolution of the landscape (terrain). I personally prefeer to use only static meshes. My terrain I model in 3dsmax, then break it into small chunks (using 3dsmax modelling tools), then export each chunk as a static mesh to UDK.
It`s a LOT faster to render than UDK Terrain.

Hey I could fix the Lightmass stuff, it was all about the size of the landscape, 127X127 is the one I have not tried other sizes…
