So I have created a landscape in Gaea, and when I try to import it into UE5 it only imports the 0, 0 tile and not the others in the sequence. I didnt think there was a secret to this. as I have done in before. I have tried the obvious things. Restarting, verifying, updates. but I cannot seem to get this to work? Anyone have a work around, or maybe I am doing something wrong in UE5 preview? Also to note I have all the tiles in there own folder too.
I don’t think i have the solution to your problem but. When using world partition, you only need to select 0,0 for import, and it should grab the rest for you.
However, you MUST be using world partition.
So far, I have not ben able to get anything really big imported using world partition. Only about 32x32km. Anything bigger and it seems to run out of memory.
I can however import massive landscapes using 4.27 world composition. But they wont convert over to world partition.
Has anyone found a solution to this? I have the same issue. Importing a tiled build form Gaea; 2017 resolution with 3x3 tiles.
In a new Open World, I’m opening the landscape editor and importing a new landscape. I’ve read that I should be able to simply select the first tile and the rest will be detected, but my total resolution only shows up as 2017, and after importing I only see one tile. Is there a naming convention I’m missing out on or something?
To anyone reading this with a similar problem - I figured out that UE requires the X and Y values to be in a specific order; X first and then Y. You can change the order in the Gaea export filename options. Select “x[x ]_y[y]”.This text will be hidden
