I don’t seem to get any UE updates in the Epic Games Launcher anymore. There used to be some sort of indication that there was an update available, but it’s no longer there. Clicking the Engine Versions button offers to install 5.3.2, but nothing else.
Hey there @Luthien! As mentioned by Sebascova, the updates may require you to restart the Epic Games Launcher so that it checks for another update. However if this doesn’t work and you can verify the launcher still has access to the internet, it may be best to try and verify the current version. If that doesn’t trigger the exclamation point for the hotfix update, you may need to uninstall the previous version and install 5.5 again and it will request 5.5.1 (as that’s the current 5.5 version).
It seems the Epic Games Launcher isn’t showing Unreal Engine updates as it used to. You can try clicking the “Engine Versions” button to manually install the latest version (like 5.3.2). Restarting the launcher might refresh the updates, or you can verify your installed engine version from the Library by clicking the three dots (…) and selecting “Verify.” If the issue persists, reinstalling the launcher or contacting Epic Games support could help resolve it.
Thank you all for the answers! After I started the pc again today I was asked to log in at the Epic Games launcher app, and something in between that and yesterday fixed the issue, it now shows the update button!
