I am senior software developer currently discovering the game sector for nearly 6+ years.
Background in gamedev:
I have been mostly working on indie projects with Roblox and Unity game engines. But also doing some very low level graphics programming with CUDA, C++, Shaders (HLSL/WGSL), Rust Bevy/wgpu, etc. Reinforcement learning for games has been a great passion for me for last 2-3 years. I can share my CV in DM.
My hall of fame is not Great. I have published 2 mini games on Google play and one on Roblox platform. And contributed to few open source projects. I have done a tons of gamdev related things just for fun or with way to big ambitions.
The motivation to make something Great is definitely there and I am ready for it.
UEFN:
Recently I have been attracted to UEFN. I like the overall concept. Feels like a bit limited Roblox, but with stunning Graphics and other goodies. And also has promising revenue once your game rocks.
I invested serious time in learning Verse. And I feel very confident with it. I created a script, that creates Random procedural Maze and pretty much covers most of the Verse features. Still learning the API tho…
Also I did experiments with Control Rig and managed to create NPC logic, where skeletal mesh can aim at players (like the giant robot in GDC demo). Here is mine tutorial on it Quick tutorial for skeletal mesh NPC look at functionality | Community tutorial.
