I downloaded the epic game launcher and it will not open. I have checked for updates on my graphics and gaming card and checked windows update. I have a 64 bit system with plenty of available space on the hard drive. I ran a compatibility mode on it and it says it is not compatible with my os which is windows 10.

you didnt really give much information here. actual system specs are helpful (list hardware). also does anything happen when you try to open the program? is it possible your computer runs really slow and its just taking forever to load. how much ram do you have could that be running out? do you have other programs or processes running at the same time? what does your performance look like, temps, cpu usage, disk usage, etc?

it keeps trying to run capatability to windows 8 as a solution
if your trying to run the engine to create games you will need to upgrade your hardware. your pc doesnt meet the recommended requirements.
as for the rest of the things i mentioned like cpu usage just right click the taskbar and select task manager. from there you can see whats running and some basic system information.
