I apologize if the below sounds negative, but compared to other stores/payment processes, this store setup is not as user friendly as we expected. I think most of this is Hyperwallet’s fault, but Epic did choose to use it.
So the only logical way seems to be to register our CEO’s information under the business contact information page. Ideally, this could have been done by someone else at our company, but doing so and skipping some information as kamgam mention above leads to another hyperwallet confirmation page “Verify Payee” from the email “Issue verifying taxpayer information”. Entering/confirming the Business Contact’s information here as the “payee” does not make sense, which again, only leaves our CEO as a sensible option.
I can ask our CEO for their Government Number and favorite pet’s name, but they will not be the business contact or the payee. The business contact will be the person managing the store. The payee will be our business.
If I am misunderstanding something, please let me know. Otherwise, we would suggest Epic and Hyperwallet correct the terminology or make the process simpler. We haven’t even reached the Proof of Business Registration or other multiple steps…
