HRTF Volume Reduction when Facing Sound Source

I am using the Oculus Audio Plugin and have been testing with a mono sound file, with Spatialization HRTF enabled in the audio volume. The spatialization generally works quite well, except when looking directly at the object, which causes an unnatural volume reduction.

Is there something I need to enable or change in the settings to fix this? Is there any documentation on how to set up HRTF spatialization correctly with the Oculus Rift?

I’m afraid Oculus Audio SDK isn’t quite well integrated ATM. The good news: Epic is doing a full audio engine rewrite currently so this should get better in one of the next versions. :slight_smile:
