How would i recreate the flight/boosting mechanics of Armored Core 4 : Answer in Blueprint?

Armored Core 4: Answer is one of the best mech games i’ve ever played, i loved how much control you maintained of mech. How would you recreate the controls of the game, with one button being a standard boost and another delivering an overboost.

I’ve tried “launch character” and “add force” and even if i get off the ground, it doesn’t feel like boosting with a weighted mech. Any ideas?
