i cannot install unreal engine 4 via the msi to an upgraded windows 7 for some reason? i wonder why this is an issue?
Question, does 3ds Max MCG work? For some reason, it will not accept keyboard input; or rather, it does about 1% of the time. I am also unable to either grid snap or vertex snap objects in the UVW Unwrap modifier. It also stalls for a second or 2 at random intervals for me
So far I have no complaints. UE4 works fine for me on Windows 10.
Sounds like something went wrong during your install of either 3ds max 2016 or Windows 10. I have been using Max 2016 with out any issue.
Adobe Photoshop/Premiere Pro CC(2015) - No problems(Also I had problems with it in W8.1 after last update and now they are gone )
Wacom Intuos Pro - No problems (Had some bugs in tech preview, now they are gone)
MODO 801 SP5 Indie - No problems
UE 4.8.2 - No problems
I had a pretty smooth upgrade (not clean install, as much as I’d like to nuke everything).
Whichever VXGI UE4 build I currently have works fine.
Only problem I had is the Realtek ethernet device not showing up, managed to get it going but not 100% sure if it’s actually fixed -_-.
Everything works.
Smooth upgrade, all I did was watch Breaking Bad while it did everything for me.
After a few episodes, I come check the progress, and boom. There it was, Windows 10. Plug and play.
Every program works like earlier, EVERY.

Upgraded from 8.1 Pro, in place, yesterday morning. At first it failed to detect my second monitor, but that was sorted after an additional reboot. Graphics were a bit iffy initially, but restored to fully working order after installing Nvidia’s Win10-specific driver update.
All applications working as expected: UE4, C4D, Allegorithmic, MSVS 2013… no problems. Haven’t done any performance testing, but it seems to be pretty much the same as it was before the upgrade.
Running awesome here
Just upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 (smoothest upgrade ever, the only thing I needed to do manually was to install win10 graphics card drivers) and so far every application and game I’ve tried have run flawlessly. I’ve tried Maya2016, Zbrush 4R7 64 bit, Photoshop CC, Diablo III, WoW, Guild Wars 2, Witcher 3, UE 4.8.3 and UE4.9 P2. Everything runs as well as or better than on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.
Only problem I’m having is that I can’t get UE to run with DX12, it just crashes as the project is almost loaded. I did however try the DX12 version of the Elemental demo that someone made, and with GTX Titan X on an i7-5820, my average frame rate @1080p was at 120fps, with the low point at 96 fps for half a second at the end, and the high points at about 260 fps in some places (ofc not counting the UE4 logo screen, which runs at about 400 fps).
Any tips on how to get DX12 working in editor without crashing? I’m using the -D3D12 switch to run it.
Did a fresh install of Windows 10 and Visual Studio 2013.
Did a rebuild solution.
Get errors from UnrealHeaderTool for every project:

Can’t find any reference to that error number.
Any ideas?
