How to view items in Content Browser by date modified?

Hi all,

In the Content Browser, I’m adding new assets but I want to then select the most recent ones to add to a level. But it seems that (at least in UE5.4.4) there’s no way to view things (static meshes or whatever you are viewing in the Content Browser) by date (date modified).

Is there really no “sort by date” feature in the Content Browser?

I’ve wished for this many times… I couldn’t find it.

I usually resort to looking at the same folder in the windows explorer :joy:

Yeah its weird that there’s no option. I even have tried searching the Marketplace looking for an add-on to do it, but no luck.

The issue with Windows Explorer is you can’t then select the most recent ones - you have to manually go through and select the ones that you can see are most recent! LOL. Takes a long time!

Why in the world did they remove that feature?

It was very minimalistic in UE4.x, but instead of improving it, they just… remove it altogether?

This really is a big setback. Hope they hear our feedback on this and bring it back, ideally improved…

It would be nice too if they add navigation controls (Alt + <-) and (Alt + ->) to go backward and forward respectively in the folder structures.
