I made a code plugin that is live for Target Platform Windows, but I’d like to support Xbox and PS as well. I see the options to pick during the versioning form on Fab, and I’m aware of the PlatformAllowList
property as well in the uplugin
file.
For the development platform Win64 is fine. My concern is the target platform where on Fab I can pick Xbox and PS4 as well, but in Unreal Engine there is no option to build for either of these for me.
When I read up on it, I saw that probably I’d need to be an Xbox licenced publisher to get these options for the engine. I haven’t looked into PS.
My question is, is it true that I need Microsoft’s Xbox publishing approval even for a plugin for Fab? If not, what is the process of releasing a plugin for consoles as well?
