How to use WASD for moving into my view?

Hi all!

I’m encountering an issue: I cannot move into my view with W, A, D, S. However UP, LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN arrows work. What’s wrong?

EDIT: I retagged my post because it’s clearly not a bug, just a “weird” feature.

Hello Songbird_,

You can take a look into the Editor Preferences (Main Window > Edit > Editor Preferences), inside the ‘General’ tab there should be section called ‘Keyboard Shortcuts’, and in there should be a subsection called ‘Viewport Navigation’. If you can’t find use the search bar at the top of the window. You should find, and be able to edit your bindings there.

Hope that helps. Just let me know, if that didn’t fix your issue, or if you got any questions.

Regards,

Vecherka.

Hi Vecherka! Thanks for your answer!

Unfortunatly, my bindings are clean… just don’t work and I don’t know why.

There’s an other option called ‘Flight Camera Control Type’ under Level Editor > Viewports, by default it should be set to ‘Use WASD only when a Mouse Button is pressed’.

It works, thank you so much!

Have a good day!

I started UE5 today and I have exactly the same problem. The solution here doesn’t work. Q & Z don’t want to make my character move.
