Hi, i'm trying to use my twinmotion projects on ue5 using ue4.27 as indicated in the twinmotion notice by importing the twinmotion file into ue4 saving the project and copy it on ue5 but it's just impossible everytime i get 2 major errors :
1: "the project requires the StaticMeshEditorExtension plugin" that i can't find on ue5, and if i chose disable it the project just don't open correctly.
2: failed to open map file, this is more likely because the map was saved with a newer version of the engine!!!
that's why i would like to know if there is any solution to open twinmotion projects directly in ue5 or if there is any update comming soon to solve this problem.
thank you.
Hello ,
Thank you for posting in the Twinmotion community. I recommend posting your question in the Unreal Forum as they are better equipped to answer the 2 errors you received.
My understanding is that the plugin is not compatible with the UE 5.0 Early Access but if you use the resources from the Github UE to build your own engine. You will then be able to use the TM scene in UE based on the directions from the document you referenced. I recommend you look in the Unreal Engine forum for further details and documentation. You will find links below.
Downloading Unreal Engine Source Code:

For reference here are the release notes for the plugin:

The plugin TM to UE will be updated for the official release of UE 5.0
Hope this helps and let us know if you have any further questions.
Kind regards,

Hi,
UE5 is now production-ready and available to all, but the Twinmotion plugin still states 4.26/4.27 on the download page.
Is there an ETA for the UE5 version of the Twinmotion to Unreal Engine plugin?
Thanks!
