How to use military character with animation starter pack?

Hi,

I purchased the male/female military characters from the Marketplace which says they should work with the Animation Starter Pack. However, it seems to me that they use different skeletons, so the animations can’t be applied. Is there a way to combine the two, without using expensive 3rd party software?
