How to use event dispatchers in editor mode? (Geometry Script + Editor Utility Widgets)

I am trying to set it up so I can control geometry script blueprints from an editor utility widget, but the construction script does not allow custom events.
I am creating my own customised modelling system within Unreal and after watching some tutorials, am still in the dark on how to connect EUWs with blueprints in editor mode.

Any ideas community?
