I can’t wrap my head around this topic. I’ve been trying to experiment with this for a while now, but nothing works as I expect.
At this image, I assume that these green circles mean the unions are connected because they’re touching each other, and that’s the behavior I expect.
But in the second image,
connections are broken, as the debug shows, but the left piece still acts like it’s connected to the anchored right piece. I want it to fall as soon as the connection is broken.
Another issue is when pieces are not touching each other, as shown in the third image:
but the collections still act like rigid objects as a whole.
I’m not even sure what information that i should gave for you to understand my problem better.
I couldn’t find many resources online, and I often use Perplexity AI as my search engine to salvage information from videos, discussions, conference talks, etc. I first encountered this system in the “Chaos Physics in LEGO® Fortnite: Building A Fully Interactive Sandbox Experience | GDC 2024” talk, but now I’m fairly confused by connectivity graphs, cluster unions, cluster group index, and all that.
I’m really frustrated with this issue and I feel a little burned out. I hope I can get enough attention to finally understand these concepts and solve my problem.
