How to upload products that are NOT Unreal Engine projects?

I’m trying to add a texture pack, and since it’s not Unreal Engine or Unity specific, and those are the only two options for formats, I have to add the files as “Additional Files”. But I’m not allowed to submit that, as the “Listing promotion requires at least one asset format.”

What’s the deal? I was under the impression this wasn’t going to be just Unreal Engine (Or Unity) specific? Why are there even options for product types that don’t require a project file, if that’s required?

I’m so confused. Even if I wanted to add an Unreal Engine project file, I don’t understand how. They require a project file LINK, not an uploaded file, and the example URL is some random german file sharing host that has nothing to do with epic as far as I can tell. What is even happening? Are they just outsourcing file hosting to some poor free third party site???

I’m not entirely sure about the engine-specific files, but you will need to host the files yourself and provide FAB with the links to them. For instance, I store all my files on Google Drive and simply share the specific file links, which works perfectly. I assume that even if you’re not creating a project file, you’ll still need to host your files somewhere and provide access links. You can use any file hosting service; I prefer Google Drive since I already utilize it for various purposes. However, options like Microsoft OneDrive or any other file hosting service would work just as well.

Just thinking it would be beneficial for you to probably jump into Unreal and build materials out of your textures and market that. It would be better for your customers to provide a plug and play type asset rather than an asset that they still have to do some leg work to get working.
