How to update Skeletal mesh with new static mesh ?

Hi,

I imported a static mesh and converted it to Skeletal mesh and started to add some bones.
Then I decided to apply some new material tags in my DCC App and export to Unreal again and added some materials on it (on the static mesh).

How do I update the skeletal mesh with the new Static Mesh ? I see "reimport button in my Skeletal mesh but I think that imported the original fbx I exported form the DCC and not the static mesh I already have in Unreal with materials…

I will reply to myself in case someone has the same question.

As far as I underatand, once you convert your Static mesh to Skeletal, you can proably delete the static mesh because if you need to update something in your DCC, you will re-import directelly from the Skeletal Mesh.

My issue was that I didn’t find the material slots in the Skeletal mesh but I just found them in Asset Details

I have another question on the same topic.

If I have my CAR Rig created and then I import some new parts ot new material tags, just I redo all the bones again?
