I sell assets. In the old Marketplace we had to manually mark the compatibility with each new UE version. Otherwise the Launcher would not allow the assets to be added to the project.
Usually assets like models, animations etc. do not require to upload FILES each time the engine updates. It was usually enough to mark the checkbox “compatible with UE 5.5”. After that, users are allowed to add the asset to the project.
I can’t find this on FAB anywhere? How do I do this? Do I still need to do this?
Does it have to go through a publish and review cycle for each product?
Also, I can’t even press “Confirm” unless there’s a valid file link (which was simply set to “-” after the migration). This is a problem because of course I have removed the files from the public FTP I have for the initial submission to the marketplace. The files are the same so there should be no need for the reviewer to even download anything.
Essentially, we need to just be able to tag “this is not an actual update, I’m just letting you know this will work with the new engine version”, preferably in bulk.
