How to update from 5.0.3 to 5.1

Is it possible to to update from 5.0.3 to 5.1 without getting the error that your project could not be compiled. Try rebuilding from source manually? It is a C++ project, is that the problem?

I really don’t want use a year to rebuild my project, please help me.

It is definitely possible, depends on what you are using, most time it will be some small change in #includes.

What do you mean with?

some small change in #includes

For example here

this is update of one plugin for UE4 to be compilable with EU5
There is not so much changes
And for EU 5.1 it was working without any change.

Thanks for your assurance. I will definitely try.

First, only use Plugins from Epic games, one of them do break it in 5.1, but turning it off don’t fix my problem.

I was able not able to do it, I did try to make a new project and copy my C++ code, and it did open the project, but no widget won’t open in it now.

I use a C++ Game instant and that is the code that makes all of my codes to work, but no widget is visible, the code runs and it is no error in Visual Studio, I only get this error

LogPlayerController: Error: InputMode:UIOnly - Attempting to focus Non-Focusable widget SObjectWidget [Widget.cpp(917)]!

I don’t know what the problem is here, maybe my code is not compatible with UE5.1 or it can be a bug.

in 5.0.3 do it everything work.

I will add a link to a zipped version of my project so if someone that have more experience with this maybe can check if it is something wrong with my project.

EDIT

I removed the link

I was able to update today, but It looks like my antivirus don’t like a dll file that Unreal makes when compiling C++ codes, by restoring that was I able to open the project in 5.1.

does the world paripion work for you? I can’t unload objects. the objects are still displayed after unloading
