How to unplug nodes?

I can’t believe I need to ask something like this, but …
dragging it out is not doing it, and Google is not finding anything about it!

Alt click on the node or right click and select break link.

All you need to do is hold ALT and click the pin you want to disconnect.

You can also hold CTRL and drag the pin to another pin location if you like, or if you drop into the graph with no pin connection it will bring up the context menu.

Right-click on socket, Break Link (s)
