I’ve downloaded a plugin from Marketplace and now it is ‘Enabled’ by default in all new projects I create. I don’t need the plugin anymore, how can I uninstall it?
You can just delete it from your engine folder.
Goto UnrealEngine4Path/4.xx/Engine/Plugins
, find it and delete it. All plugins installed from within the launcher are in the subfolder /Marketplace
. You might need to do the same for your game if you have it installed in your game.
I would advice on deactivating the plugin in your game project before deleting it. Just to be safe.
Thank you!
There is a better way than manually deleting stuff.
In the Epic Games Launcher - Library option you will find a list of the unreal engine versions that you have installed and underneath it says Installed Plugins.
Click on this and it gives you the option to remove.
If you see an exclamation mark next to Installed Plugins it means there is an update available for your plugin
I have one version of the engine and one plugin installed. This is what I see:-
Whilst you are there notice that there is a little yellow arrow next to Launch. If you click that you get other options about your engine installation including verify if you think it is buggered up.

This is not the best answer. Manually uninstalling plugins is likely to cause issues. The correct answer is below.
where below:)
I just ran into this just now and didn’t see link in the Epic Games Launcher
Uninstalling any plugin manually will not works as it’s still registered in the launcher…
Cheers
Thank you so much! I appreciate you!
