I have 3 comptuers in my house, I have 3 copies of Fortnite. Everytime there’s an update I don’t have the time to have 3 computers download 6 gigs of data on a 1mbps bandwidth connection.
Every other game online today I have played let’s me update ONE computer, take the entire contents of the game folder, copy it to the other two computers, verify, and play.
Fortnite by your Epic Games is the FIRST game where I have not been able to do this. I have copied the appdata, I have copied the launcher as well as the game. EVERY TIME the launcher verifies then wants to download 6 fresh new gigabytes of data.
Worse yet, one of my machines is now in an endless install loop, chewing through my monthly bandwith usage cap as I try to troubleshoot why your baffling setup won’t verify like every other game distributor on the market.
I tried a fresh install, I tried uninstalling the engine as well as the game, I’m still stuck in an endless loop where it will download 6 GB, then loop back around to 5GB and 5GB and 5GB…
Please, both put this on the bugs list AND please tell me how I can save more than 12 gigabytes of bandwith every patch you release AS WELL AS get my machine out of the endless install loop.
